A Glendale man was stabbed by a motorist outside his home Thursday night following a road rage incident on the Golden State (5) Freeway and Western Avenue, police said. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for a stab wound to his stomach, Glendale Police Det. Keith Soboleski said. The injured man was recovering Friday at the hospital, he added. Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the motorist, who hurt the victim and fled from the scene. “I hoping that maybe someone saw something, that maybe knows the [license] plate, knows the neighborhood or has seen the car in their neighborhood that matches the description,” Soboleski said. “I just need something.” The stabbing occurred about 7:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Western Avenue in Glendale following a road rage incident that began on the freeway, Sgt. Tom Lorenz said. The motorist fled the scene, but the victim got a description of the vehicle, which was described as an older gold or silver El Camino with a yellow California license plate issued from 1956 to 1962. The license plate numbers and letters were black. The motorist was described as a slim white man, about 35 to 45 years old, blond medium-length hair, and between 5 foot 10 inches to 6 foot 2 inches tall. He wore a light-colored shirt and blue jeans. The passenger was described as a white woman, heavy set, 45 to 50 years old with blond shoulder-length hair. The victim told police both spoke English and Armenian. Anyone with details about the attack is urged to call Soboleski at (818) 548-3987 or Glendale Crime Stoppers at (818) 507-7867. To remain anonymous, call the Los Angeles Regional Crime Stoppers' tip line at (800) 222-TIPS.
