DOWNTOWN — Burbank school board members today voted unanimously to appoint a new district superintendent, less than three months after Supt. Kevin Jolly announced his resignation, effective June 30, after just six months on the job.
Visalia Unified School District Supt. Stan Carrizosa will take over Burbank Unified July 1 on a four-year contract after board members approved his $235,000 annual salary.

I want to start out by giving a little back round, I grow up in beautiful Burbank, I graduated from John Burroughs In 1988, I now live in Visalia Ca.I teach in Visalia. First I want to say “THANK YOU” taking Stan Carrizosa Is the best gift any one person could of given the second greatest community in California (Burbank being the first). He will do nothing for BUSD except for steeling your money, like he has done up here. He is leaveing before he is found out. A salary $235,000 annually while class sizes increase and the number of teachers decreasing. well i did love Burbank Unified,sorry I will soon be ruined,bad for the children good for Stan salary. “GO BURROUGHS”
