Ready to enroll

Clark Magnet High School will soon be accepting applications for next year. Information packets are available at Glendale Unified School District's middle schools; application forms will be released Feb. 11. To get an application, interested eighth-graders must submit a student profile form to their school counselor. Completed applications must be turned into student support services by Friday, March 5. Clark Magnet, which focuses on science and technology, is open to all GUSD students eligible to being ninth grade this fall, as well as students attending private or parochial schools. Students entering grades 10 to 12 may apply, but school officials said there are few openings. The school is expecting an incoming class of about 300 students Parent information meetings will be held at the following sites:
  • Roosevelt Middle School – Tuesday, Feb. 9, 6:30 p.m.
  • Wilson Middle School – Wednesday, Feb. 4, 7:00 p.m.
  • Clark Expo – Saturday, Feb. 27, 9:30 a.m.
Entrance requires a minimum 2.0 (“C”) grade point average, a record of good citizenship and attendance, and students must be ready for algebra. Enrolling in Clark also requires a one-year minimum commitment. For more information, call 818-241-3111, extension 284.
