Suspect at large after attempted kidnapping

Officers are searching for a 35- to 40-year-old Latino man they say twice tried to coax a woman into his vehicle before speeding away.

The 50-year-old Burbank woman was walking her dog about 6:30 p.m. Thursday near Burbank Boulevard and Beachwood Drive when a man in a pick-up truck motioned her toward his vehicle, Sgt. Robert Quesada said.

When she ignored him, the man followed her and tried a second time, after which she ran away.  The man then drove away, Quesada said.

The suspect is described as having a shaved head, and was wearing a long-sleeved sweatshirt.  The vehicle is described as a full-sized pickup truck, possibly a Dodge.
