County officials plan to close courthouses, self-help programs and Superior Court offices every third Wednesday of every month until June 16, 2010.
The urgency to close the courts once every month is a result of the statewide budget crisis.
Future court closures are: Nov. 18, Dec. 16, Jan. 20, 2010, Feb. 17, March 17, April 21, May 19 and June 16.

It’s shocking, to say the least, the impact of the down-turned economy has had in every aspect of society. “They” tell us that the economy is taking a turn for the better. However, there are no ‘true’ statistics to support anything other than we are in the worst economic crisis since the depression. That said, how can there be any justification in the purposeful interruption of the justice system? A states allocation of funds forces cut-backs in the court system while politicians and other officials continue to reward themselves monetarily.
