Glendale Police detectives said they haven’t received any tips on the whereabouts of a man suspected robbing an East West Bank on Central Avenue on Sept. 16.
Police said they thought several photos they released of the bank robber and of a woman he left behind at the bank would have already led to some tips.
Anyone with information about the bank robber is asked to call the Robbery Unit at (818) 548-3987.
For more details on the robbery and to see photos of the robber, check out the Police Department’s website.

Flintridge Prepartory School will host the Special Olympics on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Opening ceremonies will begin at 9 a.m.
The event is presented in conjunction with Prep’s Athletic Council on Leadership, which was formed in 2008 to provide a forum for shared learning of life lessons from team sports, promote and encourage spirit and leadership in the Prep community, and develop community service projects.
The organization, which is funded by the Blecksmith family, is composed of Rebels’ student athletes and mentors from campus faculty, who will volunteer to help staff the event on Sunday.
“We are looking for a story that we can share nationwide as an inspiration and motivation for others to become involved in their community,” Flintridge Prep Headmaster Peter Bachmann said in a press release.
Flintridge Prep is located at 4543 Crown Ave. in La Canada Flintridge. More information can be accessed by calling the school at (818) 790-1178.
When San Francisco Giants second baseman Freddy Sanchez, a three-time All-Star and 2006 National League batting champion was dealt to San Francisco from the Pittsburgh Pirates on July 29, things seemed upbeat.
Instead, Sanchez, a former Glendale Community College standout, suffered a pair of injuries, including a season-ending knee injury suffered on Sept. 21.
To make matters worse, the Giants (86-73) sputtered down the stretch in the closing weeks and were eliminated from postseason contention Wednesday.
Sanchez underwent left-knee surgery Wednesday, with Dr. Ken Akizuki of the Giants’ staff performing the procedure to fix meniscus damage.
Sanchez reportedly is expected to be fully recovered before spring training and will begin a rehab stint in Arizona.
The Giants, who are in third place in the National League’s West Division behind the Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies, haven’t said whether they’ll exercise his $8.1 million option in 2010.
They have 10 days after the World Series to decide.

The Glendale-News Press just got a fax that a student from North Hills was named to the Dean’s List at New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire, for the spring semester.
Clearly, someone got the wrong number.
Either way: Congrats Joseph!
