Did city critic Barry Allen prank call Councilman Weaver?

At Tuesday's City Council meeting, Councilman Dave Weaver had an interesting story to share. According to Weaver, this weekend he was watching his beloved USC football team when he received a phone call from a man identifying himself as "John Kraft." The man said he was on an airplane and that a friend gave him Weaver's number to get the score of the USC game. Odd right? It gets weirder... According to Weaver, the next day he received an e-mail from city critic Barry Allen thanking him for speaking with his friend John Kraft "the cheese magnate." The e-mail was signed "your friend, Barry Allen." "I didn't know Barry Allen was my friend," Weaver said Tuesday. At that point, Weaver became suspicious and looked up the number that had registered on his phone. The number, he said, was registered to Barry Allen. Allen, a self describe "gadfly" and editor of "Vanguardians," has been notably absent from recent council meetings. Is he spending his new-found time making prank calls to city council members?
