Burbank Leader (re)design: An undesired plug for Matt

The Burbank Leader, Glendale News-Press and La Cañada Valley Sun are undergoing redesigns. I don't think  there's a problem with me writing this because Design Editor Matt Wilkes has been slaving away from his Long Beach pad and keeping a semi-regular diary of the process over on our editor's blog, Tasty Edits. In his posts, Matt writes about losing his religion, afternoon naps and inside baseball design subjects such as fonts and colors, etc. Only he spells the word "color" C-O-L-O-U-R. Here's a sample before I leave you to determine how tasty the edits are:
I am now having dreams about the redesign. I wake up wondering if that dark tan colour is really going to work. Or should I stick to dark red? Last night I got out of bed at 3 a.m. to check if the yellow I used on a skybox was too light. Is Antenna Thin too thin? For that matter, is Antenna Condensed too condensed? Is -5pt tracking enough? And why do the bloody cats start fighting just as I’m about to do something fiddly to the infoboxes? I need to get out more.
Consider your appetite whetted.
